Ken Ross, General Manager
Originally from Boston Massachusetts, Ken actually grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona before moving to the Grand Canyon to be the assistant food and beverage director at the south rim. That is where he met his future wife Lisa. They both moved to Pagosa Springs, Colorado, where he was the resort manager for Fairfield, a hotel, condo, and timeshare resort. Since then he has worked as a resort manager in Texas, Tennessee, and Florida. He started managing RV resorts for Thousand Trails in the early 90s. Ken and his wife have a grown daughter that lives in Boston. Ken enjoys hockey and is an avid Lightning fan, he also enjoys golfing, and riding his bike.
Heather Zuniga, Operations Coordinator
Born and raised in Florida, from Palmetto, FL. Mom of 3 and 1 cat. I’ve been with The Tides for two years. Your Local Swiftie! My hobbies include anything Taylor Swift and making candles which has turned into a small business venture on the side of my full-time job here at the Tides! I also love cooking and baking for my family. I love working at The Tides because I love interacting with new people from all walks of life. I admire what Zeman Homes does for their guests and employees it’s fantastic to work for a company that truly cares.
Jane Sisson, Director of Guest Experience
I was born and raised in Central Florida. The sunshine and coastal lifestyle have always been a big part of who I am. I’ve been married to my husband, Jody, for 37 years and together we’ve raised two daughters and have been blessed with six beautiful grandchildren. Family time and beach days are some of my greatest joys, but so is creating welcoming, memorable experiences for our community. Planning activities for The Tides RV Resort is something I truly love, and I feel lucky to help make this resort feel like home for our guests.
Sandy Fravel, Guest Experience Coordinator
Connecticut born and raised, my husband Ted and I decided to put down the snow shovels and try something completely new for our “second half.” I’m excited to finally lean into all the things I love—RVing, walking, reading, beaching, and enjoying great food with friends. We have two grown children and a pair of beloved grand-dogs back in CT, but we’re thoroughly enjoying all the new faces and places we’ve discovered here in Palmetto. I spent 22 years as an elementary educator after an initial 8-year career in accounting. Along the way, I also volunteered or worked part-time at a golf course, in children’s theatre, and with the Army Reserve. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share my time and talents to help provide Tides guests with a truly top-notch experience!
Cathy John, Guest Experience
Cathy is originally from Huntsville, Alabama, and made the move to Tampa in 2003. After retiring from a career in home health support and nursing, she spent several years living on a sailboat with her husband, John. Be sure to drop by the Surf Food truck and say hello to her!
Susan Hisgen, Guest Services
Susan originates from the Chicagoland area and has resided in Florida for the past 15 years. During her career, Sue worked as a flight attendant, as a Supervisor for Carnival Cruise Line’s cruise terminal, and Assistant Operations Manager for Tampa Cruise Terminal. At The Tides, she enjoys ensuring that guests have enjoyable stays while at the resort, providing customer service with a smile, and helping operations run smoothly. When she is not working at The Tides, she enjoys baking, reading, and playing with her little dog Frank.
Janine Sharp, Guest Services
I have been with Zeman Resorts 2 years on Nov 1, 2024. I have been a licensed hairdresser for 30 years, retired from my career in 2005, when my Husband and I decided to be “Full Time RVers” we then started “Work Camping” and managing RV Resorts in Naples & Everglades City, FL, moved to Texas and managed an RV Resort in Grapevine for the next 12 years.
The RV industry is very gratifying and fun with all the unique and different lifestyles people have had. Generally, they are all happy and just want to enjoy their retirement years, traveling and living the RV Lifestyle. My Husband and I enjoy spending time with our family, and a little beach time, fishing, and working outdoors.
Jody Sisson, Cottage Sales
Jody is a retired Police Lieutenant with more than 35 years of distinguished service in law enforcement, including 22 years in supervisory and management roles in Lakeland, Florida. Following his retirement, he transitioned into the multi-family apartment industry, where he spent eight years as an Executive Director-Property Manager.
With a passion for camping and the RV lifestyle, Jody and his wife, Jane, chose to semi-retire and embrace full-time RV living. Drawn from Central Florida to the coast, they discovered Zeman Signature Resorts in 2023 and quickly fell in love with the community.
Eager to remain active and contribute to the company, Jody joined our sister property, The Surf, combining his enthusiasm for hospitality with his strong work ethic and knowledge of the RV life style. After 15 months of dedication and impact, he was promoted to lead cottage sales at The Tides. In this role, Jody brings energy, experience, and a commitment to excellence as he helps drive continued success.
An avid sports enthusiast, Jody passionately supports the Florida Gators, Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He and Jane enjoy an active lifestyle that includes the outdoors, fitness, and time at the beach. Above all, Jody values time spent with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren, creating lasting memories together.
Craig Hassan, Maintenance Supervisor
Raised in Des Plaines, IL, near O’Hare Airport, Craig went to Western Illinois University, where he met his wife, Lori. They have 2 children and raised their family in Algonquin, IL, until they moved to Florida in 2018. Craig is a Chicago Sports fan, but has enjoyed seeing and attending Tampa Bay Lightning and Rays games. Craig’s favorite pastime is relaxing at Coquina Beach listening to the waves crash. Having been with Zeman for over 5 years, he loves seeing returning guests yearly alongside fresh faces.
Rick Hendrickson, Welcome Ambassador
I have worked part time for Zeman homes for the past two and a half years at The Tides location. I enjoy playing golf in my retirement years. I was hired as a Gatehouse Ambassador by Zeman Homes. I have over 40 years of experience in the RV industry as an Ambassador and a Spotter, working at State Parks, Mobile Home Parks, RV Parks, and 5 Star RV Resorts. I enjoy helping our Resort Maintenance Manager, Craig Hassan, in the slow summer months wherever he needs me to get the Resort ready for the next season of guests. One of my favorite memories at the Tides was working with Olivia Broom (Marketing Manager) in making a video on how to meet, greet, and help park our guests’ RV.
Tom Holcomb, Mailroom Attendant
Tom moved to Florida from Illinois in August of 2021. He has been with The Tides since February of 2022. Tom is happily married since October of 1986 and has 4 boys. Tom has lived at The Tides for 2 years and loves it!
Anthony DeRibas, Gate Attendant
I have been working at a resort for about three and a half years, bringing my professional background in retail and civil service into this dynamic industry. My experience even includes a run for office. Currently, I am pursuing an Associate of Arts in Veterinary Technology. The most enjoyable part of working in this industry is meeting people from all over the country and occasionally encountering a relative of a celebrity. In my free time, I worship the sun and can often be found outside on beautiful days, enjoying the tropical weather.

Ed Zeman - Chairman & Partner
Ed Zeman, Chairman and Partner Zeman graduated from Eastern Illinois University with political science and business degrees in 1988. After completing his bachelor’s, Zeman began his career with Mobile Management Company as the Construction, Maintenance, and Repair Coordinator. He has since worked with several levels of the organization and possesses invaluable experience with numerous real estate entities, a finance company, a home sales company, and more recently, an insurance company, enabling him to provide a unique perspective. Zeman has owned and provided various companies with hands-on management. Ultimately responsible for their success, he has developed a thorough understanding of all issues affecting the bottom line. A self-described “been there, done that” entrepreneur, Zeman has been moving his company to become a professional management organization, continuing to work closely with associates in the daily management of the organization.
